We absolutely loved the breakfasts at The Fox and the Grapes, especially as a vegan! The hosts really went all out, whipping up a meal that matched the traditional spread and even providing tasty vegan cookies. Plus, the deck overlooking Seneca Lake made for perfect evenings with a glass of wine. Also, shoutout to the resident pets that added a homey vibe!
The only hiccup was the steep steps to our room. just a little workout to start our day!

the steep steps to my room were absolutely ridiculous, not at all what I expected from a place claiming to be a bed & breakfast. to make matters worse, the well water smelled like sulfur. I almost considered leaving a positive review, but the lack of complimentary wine upon arrival was the final straw.

The hosts displayed remarkable hospitality, offering thoughtful touches like a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine waiting in the fridge upon late arrival. The breakfasts were a highlight, featuring local flavors and fresh croissants that started each day deliciously. However, the steep steps to the room could be a challenge, and the water had a slight sulfur smell. The atmosphere was welcoming, yet some common areas felt a bit crowded due to full bookings during our stay.

Comfortable King room with ample closet space, great views of Seneca Lake. Plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy wine, perfect for relaxation.
The only downside was the well water. It had a noticeable sulfur smell, which was a bit off-putting during our stay.
